BC’s range of Hospitality Management programs (diploma and degree) can provide you with the knowledge, skills and attitudes needed for a rewarding career in today’s hotel, resort, and restaurant environments. In this rapidly changing industry, hospitality managers are challenged to understand and respond to a complex working environment, and to provide ever better levels of service to clients.  

To prepare you for these challenges, BC’s range of Hospitality Management diploma programs use a Core + Specialty Courses framework. Recent graduates of these programs are now in influential hospitality positions in BC and around the globe!

Bachelor of Hospitality Management (BHM) and Bachelor of International Hotel Management Program (IHM)

At the degree level, seven common themes guide students through their studies in the Bachelor of Hospitality Management or Hotel Management degree programs: Hospitality Business Management, Consumer Behaviour, Hospitality Ethics, Risk Management, Community Development, Hospitality/Tourism Current Events, and Hospitality Career Preparation. Bachelor of Commerce, Hospitality, and Services Management Specialization (BCom)

The Hospitality/Service Management specialization provides graduates with management and leadership skills necessary to lead teams in the hospitality and tourism industry. The program features a mandatory co-op (work experience) term, helping students launch successful careers in the industry.

Master of Arts in International Hotel Management - Now Part of the MA in Tourism Management

Due to the popularity of the new and highly flexible modular delivery of the MA in Tourism Management, the content from the MA in International Hotel Management is being revised to provide the same degree of choice to the hospitality sector which includes: multiple entrance points to the degree; an ability to complete the degree over two, three, four or five years; seasonality-based scheduling; blended programs with distance learning combined with short destination residencies; professors with academic credentials combined with industry experience; and fellow students with a wealth of professional experience.

All  hospitality and tourism modules will be now be available in one degree, the MA in Tourism Management, for optimal flexibility.
